Rear suspension noise

whenever i go over and bumps it makes a sort of clikc-clacking noise, Im thinkin it might be the exhaust or something inside of the exhaust that is rattling around, but any other ideas of what it could be????

CV Joints in the rear? Gonna assume not.

Got the same problem, but I'm lowered, so don't know if it's just a coincidence.

Mine only happens when its cold and/or wet. I don't really know what to check though. Not really sure what to look for under there.

Keep us posted if you find the problem,

I would get it on a lift and check all the suspension components to ensure there is nothing loose first. If something is inside the exhaust or if it's loose that is not as big a deal as loose or defective suspension components or brakes. The sound could be too many things to nail down on-line.

I've got the same problem. Ford has a tsb out saying it could be the shock upper mount, to remove the nut and the washer, flip the washer over and reinstall it. Ford says the clunking sound is caused by the washer. I bought a set of shims thats suppose to take up the slack, but i havn't had a chance to install them. http://www3.sympatico.ca/robertlefebvre/LPE/ , you can order them at that website.

Also check some of the simple things like a loose jack, spare tire, etc.
