svt strut/damper on aftermakert springs

i was looking at getting the svt damper kit with the dynamic springs (1.5). do you think this set up will hold? (87,000)

according to mike (bsir), i talked with him about this, i read a post of him from 2005, he said the stock svt dampers could handle teins s tech. I asked him if he still thinks the same, and the answer was yes.. so i trust him since he knows about that shi haha,

would they hold at 87000?, that my friend is another story...

Yeah, I'd be willing to take Mikes word on something like that.


As for the 'other story', those shocks are only rated for 50,000 miles, so even though it may not feel like it yet, Your suspension is running on borrowed time. I would replace the shocks/struts at the same time You plan to install the springs. There are alot of different ones available for a 1.5" drop. I have Roush Stage 2 shocks on H&R Sport springs, 1.5" drop, and loving it.

:o are you sure about the 50000 miles life?, if so i think its almost time to replace my shocks and springs too :p

no.. i am buying a brand new svt damper kit with the dynamic springs.. i have 87,000 miles on my car.. i heard stories that the svt strut/damper will only hold for about 25,000 miles on it with that kind of drop?

mike told me just yesterday that the svt or ST struts will hold up fine with the dynamic or FRPP ones.
