Good Struts???

welll i finally ordered a supension kit, i orderened the saleen/eibach kit from SaleenCanada today except one of the rear struts is faulty he said, but we worked out a good price so i bought it anyways...

so my question is what struts should i purchase seperatly for the rear?? i dont want to spend too much and should i just try an get the asme ones or does it matter? i want the same drop as there would be with the saleen struts but the struts shouldnt change the drop right the springs do

Correct, springs control height. A good match would be Eibach dampers.

I'm assuming the springs you got are at least a 1.5 inch drop. There's not a lot of "cheaper" options when you go this low. If you're in the two inch range then you need a serious shock and there is no cheap way out. Breaking up the kit may not have been the best way to go. Ford dynamic shocks (aka multimatics) are an option but I don't think they're any cheaper than the Eibachs. KYB AGX's are good to but once again not cheap.

Hey you went through Saleen Canada... that's good. I didn't think they had any left. Well for the 1.5 drop, obviously trying to find a single Eibach pro-damper shock would be best:

Bingo! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Eibac...1%7C240%3A1318

It looks identical to what I have. I don't think the later models used different rear shocks.

No. KYB is a Japanese company and Eibach is a German company. The AGX is manually adjustable for rebound and compression whereas the standard Eibach is not. Both are of twin tube design.

The AGX's would be a very good performance upgrade.
