struts ?

ok so scrtach tha other coil overs gunna buy 2in lowering spring. im way over due for struts so can i just buy new oem struts or do i have to buy lowered struts ?

1. You will need struts designed for a lowered Focus.

2.SEARCH! Lately there have been quite a few threads about the same thing. There is absolutely NO need to make a new one.

If you get OE dampers, they will wear out SOOOOOO quickly, they cannot handle the springs. you have to get an equivalent roush/koni/eibach, etc. to handle it.

You can either buy new struts or buy a complete kit that includes the struts as well. www.fordracingparts.com carries the SVT setup for about $300 and it includes springs, struts and a new 21mm rear swaybar. Or you can go with the Eibach Pro-system that includes struts and springs and can include the sway bars for a bit more money. My choice is going to be getting a kit that includes both the struts and the springs since you are wanting to lower your car. It would only make sense to buy struts that are matched for the spring ratings.
