S2 Wheels, Shock & Struts

Hello, I'm new to this forum & Iv'e done a little poking around for the answer to this but had no luck.

I own a 2001 S2 that has a wheel damaged beyond repair due to my wifes unfortunate & scary run in with some road debris a couple of years back. I've been running steel wheels with winter tires on them for the last couple of years. Now my college age son wants to take a car back with him to college next fall so I'm trying to get it back in shape for him to travel & I would really like to find a wheel to complete the set of stock wheels.

My problem is I'm having trouble find a replacement that matches, any help anyone could provide finding a source for one wheel or the Ford part number would be greatly appreciated.

Another option would be for me to get new wheels for my 2006 ZX-4 SES SAP sedan and use the take-off rolling stock on the S2 but I just dont like the look of them on the S2.

The S2 also needs new shocks & struts is there any after market units that match the compression & rebound of the stock units? The S2 handles much better than my ZX-4 and I would like to keep the stock feel on the S2.I'm not sure if the stock S2 shocks & struts are still available through the Ford part supply chain since they do have different valving than other Foci and the S2 was a one year model.

So the SVT shocks/struts have the same valving as the S2. Good to know.

I've had the local bone yard on the prowl for a matching wheel since the damage occured, no luck in 2+ years...

Yes to my knowledge the S2 and svt have the same suspension. Ah, well mike(b16sir1991) should be able to get you a new wheel for less than the stealership.

SVT springs are different, but those are the dampers you're looking for. CFM and Mike both have a great reputation, so don't hesitate.

Thanks for the help.

So would the SVT dampers be a good fit for my 2006 ZX-4? I think the stock units have too little dampening. Or would I be better off with some after market parts, and if so which would you all recommend? Not trying to put the car in the weeds with a lowering springs or have a super harsh ride but just something to firm it up a little to make the twisties a little more fun. The car is my daily driver.

The site is really nice seems to be a nice bunch of people on here. I wish there was something like this around when I was younger & had more time & desire to put work in to the cars. There was just Fast Fords & the 5.0 Mustangs rags to do all your research & you couldn't get good feed back like I did here.

the SVT dampers and springs is a great set up for your 06. the ride will be nice and the height is still there, the springs are a little stiffer so the turns will handle much better.
