ST Springs question

Are ST springs an upgrade over stock ZX4 springs? I ran a search but no luck. I have the ford racing springs and shocks but would like more clearance due to rubbing issues. Would they work with the ford racing shocks?

ST suspension was only upgraded dampers and rear sway bar. People run Koni's on stock springs all the time in autocross stock categories. It would work, but IMO there wouldn't be much point.

The ST springs are a different part than any other spring on any Foci. They are the same height but are stiffer.

Nope, the ST rear bar is the same 20mm bar found on other 05-07 models that came with one. Trust me, I measured mine.

The vaunted 21mm rear bar is found only on the 01 Street Edition, 01 S2, and 02-04 SVT. Its use on the ST is frequently parroted but incorrect.

FWIW the C&D "Short Take" about the ST says it has the larger rear bar, but this is either an outright error by the author, or Ford changed the specifications of the ST after the magazine went to press.
