i just started. first event was sunday the 4th. had a blast.
2003 SVTF
mods: CF hood.
they put me in the STS(ST) class but i was told i should be in the SM class due to the CF hood.
i did fairly decent, i beat my buddy's GSR integra which has full adj tein suspension, full exhaust front to rear, race tires and rims.

I'm sure I've met you at one of the SJR events at the blackwood campus in 2007. I'm the guy that ran the Liquid Grey Focus in FSP. (Check my avatar)

2008 was a bust for me in autoX, but I was running track days and time trials all year. I also instructed at the SJR SCCA PDX at NJMP Lightning last summer.

I'm planning on going to the Philly Wintercross event on the 18th @ NJMP, are you going to be there?

As for my achievements in autoX.

Well, there's not too much significant competiton for FSP in this area, but I have beaten almost anyone that ever showed up in FSP in the entire 2007 NNJR series and most Philly events I attended.

My first outing to a national at Devens in 07 got me a 2nd place. It was wet on the first day, and I had no wet experience so I started in the hole on day 2 by a few seconds and sitting in 6th, but I SMOKED everyone on my last run on day 2 to capture second. I had a second place at the Northeast Divisional @ Warminster in 07 also.

I did have some prior experience in autoX, before I started running my Focus in 2007, but it was like 12 years ago for a year or two running a few events in a horribly non-competitive, rusty, 76 Alfa Spider.

hey auto-x-zts and particular reason for using these? are they particularly light because i saw a very decent deal on a set and i think they would make a good inexpensive track day wheel.

I used them because they were nearly free on ebay--I think I got them for $100...they are like 15 pounds as I recall...not 'light' but certainly not that heavy either.

So if you can get 'em cheap...roll with it until something better comes along.

what width tire can you run? its a little bit wider then stock, 215 should be fine but if i so decided could i step up to a 225?

a 225/50 is pinched on a 6.5--likely no faster than a 205/50...

eveyone makes a 205/50-15...tons of good choices...
