ST peelouts.

I have a 2006 ST, and being 16 I have done a few peelouts in it. My question is, how robust is the transmisson on the ST. Is it able to handle the loads I put on it when doing a peelout. I don't do it much anymore, but I've done it about 15 times, in order to impress friends, (yeah, i know, stupid me). I was just wondeirng if I'd done anything really bad to it. Thanks guys.

^^^exactly the reason why us young teen guys have a bad rep with car insurance and everyone else in the world...cause far too many screw around doin that and much worse...and many get in too deep and end up in an accident. and why? cause we/they felt like being stupid and showing off in the car that daddy bought.

idk about the mechanical side of it, i wouldn't think it'd be the best thing but a few times shouldn't kill you, and at least you admit to being stupid and showing off, i give u props for that, just don't be a complete dumb@$$.

well, first off, daddy didnt buy it. I did. But I know what your saying. I don't plan on doing it anymore, I was just trying to see if it would really do it, I've never had my own car that would do it. and actually, I'm the best driver at my school, the rest of them are nuts. I may drive fast, but I actually know how, my dad was an amatuer racer, and he's taught me how to drive well. But I ain't doing anymore burnouts or skids cuz they ruin the tires, and after the first few times, they aren't any fun.

It will be able to handle it. But you may go through your clutch much faster than you'd like.

It's not that bad unless you are getting a lot of wheel hop. That can seriously stress things out.

Come out and AutoX if you want to do some real driving...

doing e-brake burnouts isnt too good either, wears you rear shoes out pretty fast if you have Drums, if you have rear discs, you should be fine.

I don't think you'd have to worry about it as much unless you were in an SVT Focus. Then, you'd probably have to worry (only because I know).

Forgive me for being nosy, but I see you "drive" two other cars. Is that true?

Bring your friends to an autocross, and participate yourself. Even try to get your other friends to race their cars as well. It'll be a great experience, and all the spectators can ride along (assuming there's not too many). It's a great way to spend a Sunday and get some of the fun out of your car for what it was made.
