You can use a drop in element. YOu cannot modify the airbox.

Any catback exhaust is legal. Poke around in the Zetec forum to find one that fits you best.

Plug wires and plugs won't really get you anything. Best save your money, and go with the Autolite plugs. If you want wires, any 9mm wire will work (I think wires are legal)

Shocks - to be competitve, you will want to look at getting adjustible shocks. Either Konis or Spax, or may KYB AGX (I have no experience with the last). Shocks will firm up the ride some, and let you dial out some of the understeer built into the car.

Front sway bar - H&R makes an adjustible 24mm bar, but bigger front with the OEM rear will just give you more understeer. On other option is to get an 18mm from a SPI Focus. Will get a little more roll, but less understeer. Front sway bars alone are a hard thing to guess to what will be best.

Missing = tires - stocks will get you going, but if you want to be competitve, you will want a set of R-componds on a set of lightweight wheels (which are the same size as your stockers).

You don't need anything to get going. Just get out there and have fun. If you are looking at making a competitve ride, thats what you can do.

How much will lighter wheels help out? My stock SVT 6 spoke weigh around 21 lbs. Tire Rack has Kazera KZ-V that weigh in at 17.5 for only $129 ea. Will the 3.5 lbs differance be that noticable? Thanks
Mike

I believe that if you modify the exhaust, suspension, anti-roll/stress bars you'll be bumped out of the HS class and most likely put in STS (I think that's one class higher than Stock). I'm pretty sure that would be the case, but I could be wrong. I'm still learning about this stuff as well.

I have Cam Gears, UDP, Cone Filter, Front Strut Brace, SD Coil /w Focus Live Wires, and some other little things and I was placed in FSP, which is two classes above STS I think.

Cheers!

No, not what I listed above. In stock classes, you are allowed to change: dampers, front sway bar, cat-back exhaust, air filter element, brake pad material, and other small things.
