SVTF 2002 vs Jetta 1.8T 2003

Me with my 2002 SVT Focus mods including : ford racing STS, borla exhast, AEM CAI, Diablo Tuner with Toms Tune, and really bad tires Egal RS-A winter tires.

2003 Jetta 1.8T mods AEM CAI same Egal RS-A

Well with the weather still being cold say 0 or lower we went out for a cruise, He usually takes me out by about a car and a half but with my recent mods it was gunna be tough for him.

So we line up and I let out the cluth at around 3500 just to see what would happen and well my tires just started to spin all the way to about 7000 so i shifted into second just for fun went back down to 6000 spun more and then hooked well, I hear the Jetta let off the gas cause he tires started to spin also and he got a lil jump on me at first about a 1/4 car once i hooked i was right there beside him the whole way. He couldnt get away and im sure if i keept going I would have got him. We just did that one race

But overall these mods have got me to the same speed as the Jetta which is amaizing. Also the cold air helps his turbo run better. So once summer comes, I get some new summer tires, my UDP and VF rear mount in then we will see who takes it.

What it looks like so far if it was hot out I would take him now but ill just have to wait for summer.

Im so happy with these mods and the performace I got.

I don't know how fast the jetta 1.8t is, but I woulda gone from a roll since you can't get traction, and if you are both just spinning tires thats not much of a race, regardless you should be driving pretty darn good with those mods, so gl when its warm out, get the tires warm and sticky!
