lol the X means cross, its auto-x or autocross. Anyway, have fun with that, I'm gonna try and run the "gingerman (sp) raceway" this summer with some friends in michigan. http://www.gingermanraceway.com/

How does the SVTF compare in autocrossing events to a contour svt, I've driven one pretty hard on a road coarse and it held up pretty darn good with aftermarket springs.

already have 3 x's under my belt here in south carolina. the svt handles much betetr than the contour. the contour is much heavier and less agile

Yep.

The CSVT isn't up to the SVTF's handling prowess, but a good driver and a straights-biased course could make it challenging. They're both G stock cars...

LOL, almost anything.

It is just easier to list what won't bump you.
  • Most dampers
  • Front sway bar
  • Air filter (not an intake, just the element)
  • Cat-back exhaust
  • R-compound tires (in exact size as OEM)
  • Harness, and also rollbar (installation type limited)
  • Other really tiny things

I ran in GS with the Konis, a K&N in the stock air box and Victoracers ( r-comps ) in 225/45/17's for about 6 months ( 5 races ) and finally began to mod the car, now I'm stuck in DSP getting my ass handed to me, lolol.

If you must mod the car and love to autocross, you might consider starting with suspension and wheels/tires first, or at least mod the piss out of it before going in on some of the other nasty competition that awaits you.

I actually could care less about competing, I'm just in it for the pure joy, but I was more successful back in GS, even though my lap times are faster, I did better in stock class.
