Smoked an 02 SE-R not Spec-V

My friend has had his SE-R for months now and he finally raced me. He just put on an AEM cold air and thought he could hang. We went from a first gear roll and he jumped about a car length (175lb Tq) on me. When I hit second I went past him and it was over. Then we went from a stop light and my launch stunk. I still caught up with him in second and blew by him in third. Probably would have been a different story if he had a Spec-V but I still think I would have won.

yeah it dosent take much, stock times for the car are about 15.4 - 15.2 depending on what mag you read. ive never ran mine stock, but when i had intake and exhaust i was runnin a 15.0 and now i cant get traction to save my life so im at the 14.7 range.

Yeah in the reviews I've read they are only like a tenth or two tenths quicker than the SVTF in the 1/4 mile.

I'v had multiple run-ins with different spec v's with a combined total of about 10 races and i havent lost once, good launch= even and pulling in first and then after 2nd it was over, bad launch= 2nd/3rd pull and pass but to be fair only 1 of them had any kind of mods and for all i know it was just rims/exhaust
