watch and help!
so my first event was on saturday.. i had a blast!! but didn't do well at all. i definitely know i won't be good for AT LEAST two seasons of a bunch of seat time, but i'd like some pointers so i can get better in the mean time.

the start was a little tricky.. do they normallly have sarts like this??
my class is ST btw.

my tires would rub on the hills, like on the side wall, can this be fixed by having the fenders rolled? and would that bump me out of ST? i have 215/45/17s on svt 6 spokes.

if you need info for different specs and a good guidline go to the scca website. if you are running with the scca club and the scca club in your region....... that would be the best way to see... i don't think rolling hte fenders would move you out but i could be wrong

thanks ^^ i've seen that before it does not have my class (st) i believe sts is a little different. at least in my region..
also, i've checked out SCCA (i'm a member) and it doesn't say in there rules either.

Mike, the vid does look slow but when you're there it's different. i was sliding all over the damn place my tires blow. but i can't afford better ones just yet. come to the next even i'll take you for a ride

The link posted is older, all the Street touring classes, ST, STS, STX, STU, have the same base rules set. You can roll your fenders:

14.2 E. Fenders may not be cut or flared but the inside lip may be rolled
to gain additional tire clearance. (The outer fender contour may not
be changed.) Flares that are part of body kits may be attached to
the stock fenders. Plastic and rubber wheel well splash shields may
be modifi ed for tire clearance and to accommodate a rolled inside
fender lip. The intention is to permit fi tting the maximum allowable
tire size, and the modifi cations may serve no other purpose (e.g. air
intake, brake ducts, etc.). No other changes to the stock fenders or
wheel wells are permitted.
