Indeed. It was only after I pulled back to the staging area that I realized running square over a cone in the slalom meant I was zipping along way too fast.
I got a lot of debris wedged between the rim and the sidewall on the left tires. One was leaking pretty bad. I limped it to Firestone to get them unmounted and cleaned. Will check pressures tomorrow to see if their work held up. The tread is fine.
haha... Thats Great... Dirt EVERYWHERE... Ive seen a few FWDs wipeout.. Its hard to get a focus to though..
warneej wiped out like that but instead of dirt, he got a face full of tire..
hah yeah i spun out HARD a few weeks ago and got a mouth full of my own tire smoke
and then this past weekend i did it again...i'm the only FWD car i've seen at any of my events that can manage to spin...a mini cooper S came close but wasn't going fast enough to rotate past 90
i could never drive with my windows up tho, i feel so out of tune with the surroundings if i can't feel the wind and whatnot
This is one of the reasons we require the windows to be rolled up here. I spun the last weekend as well when the ABS went into "ice mode" It went about 410 deg before stopping. It was not the first time, but when it happens it is kindo if fun just holding on and seeing what the car does on it's own.
I'd rather have that rule, but the local club wants windows down so they can yell to you if something's wrong upcourse. I thought that's what the flags were for
I'm glad we have a huge landing pad for helicopters at our region rather than a narrow runway to race on. That's insane.
Did you have to change your shorts after that? I know I would have... I would be so worried I'd take the roll after digging my tires into the dirt like that.
