My ZX3 has the 15x6 mesh wheels from factory, I would like to buy some good tires and a wheel to maximize h-stock performance. Anyone know of some lightweight 15x6 wheels to mount some tires on - Rota is 15x6.5 and will not be allowed, correct?
If so, those are actually a really good OEM wheel since they only weigh 15 pounds and are cheap. You can get lighter wheels, but you start to pay for it. If the Rota's were legal (they aren't, must be 6"), 12 pounds less would cost you ~$600.
When I got my kazera KZ-A 16" (supposed to be "lightweight") I couldnt belive it when I picked up the stock and the kazera (both with tires), and the stock was lighter!!
You really can't get much better... tires will be your best upgrade. I dunno if they make RT-615's in 195/60-15... But I think the BFG g-force sports do come in that size.
^ those 205's will fit fine, that's what i run currently. I've heard of a few stuffing a 225/50/15 on a stock 15x6 & those stockers are offly light 15.2 #.s
Next year I'll run OZ ultraleggra's 15x7 @ 12 #'s & 225/45/15's but that would put ya out of H stock..lol
^^ Wheel width is why the Rota's are not a legal stock class replacement for the 15x6 Focus wheel. The Rota's are 15x6.5. In the stock classes, you can't change the width of the wheel.
I agree that this is wheel the best bang-for-the-buck...
