The brake duct allowance was put in place for larger heavy cars that employ a closed type of wheel. Mercedes, BMW and the like where heat gets trapped between the wheel and the rotor.
I would say that adding brake ducts to a focus, SVT or otherwise, is unneccessary.
The ducts would have been nice at the last Auto-X here. There were some spots I hit 80 and I did one slalom at 60 it was a fast course. Did well for STS class with a stock SVT with intake and Hankook k106 tires. 3rd out of 25 and people were shocked in there Civics that they claimed were bad ass.
That's the goal of mine and this other guy that drives an Escort to beat the Civics
