Solo II action

hopefully, I can get more shots in 2 weeks time lots of fun as usual at the track. Only one person didn't agree with me running my OZ superturimo GT's on the track but, meh.. the rest loved the look of them.

Oh and doesn't my head look bloody fat?

I was in STS class and if I had not been so excited I would've done really well. I settled down after the first 3 DNF's and starting putting out numbers.. In my class I was 10th.

Next run on march 4th I'll do much better as I'll be calm. When you have another zx3 senior driver take you around the track that is extreme fast you tend to get carried away.

Oh the only beef was that a local focus guy was shocked I was running my uber sexy rims on the track is all.. To which I explained well, my pressure was setup correctly and if I do end up running off the track my rims are the least of my concern

Uh, no. Gosh if you hadn't of mentioned it probably no one would have noticed.

Cool lookin' car. Keep at it man, the best thing you can do to get fast is get as much "seat time" as you can.

Our SCCA license has a barcode which setups us up in the computer for the timing. It is all electronic and on the last few courses its been one car at a time. It was nice having a timing box at the start and finish boxes

Be aware: If you decide to play with the big boys (National Tour, Pro Solo, Solo Nationals) you have got to have proper numbers on your car:

If you get to that level, you'll probably need a new car considerning Mini Cooper Ses with a driver who knows what he's doing will run rings around an SVT just in GS.

yeah, that is true granted I think a lot can be had with the focus if you had a good driver and in the right class.
