Best way to repair/prevent rust

Hi guys I have a 03 sedan and I am in Wisconsin so we have wonderful winters and this spring I noticed some small rust spots starting on the bottoms of my doors and was curious if you guys/girls knew any good ways to repair small rust spots and/or prevent new ones from forming.

Sadly, once it starts it's very difficult to stop it. You can however, slow it down by using some rubberized undercoating spray on the affected areas.

You and I live in the midwest, where the DOT's love their salt in the winter, so these things are bound to happen. Especially on vehicles that over 10 years old at this point.

Right the DOTs around here do love their salt. I was thinking that maybe a Rust reformer and then a color matched paint would help but I wasn't sure.

No way to get rid of all the rust unless you cut it out. Best thing is to use some rust reformer or something like that every so often to slow it down.

Cool I'll pick up some Rust Reformer and some Color match paint and see what I can do.
