just washed my car for the 1st time

I used eagle one car wash soap.. a sponge i got for a dollar from advanced auto parts.. i used a leaf blower to dry it.. then i used eagle one wax as you dry car wax with a microfiber towel i got from Advanced 3 for $5.

I think i'm not gonna use the sponge anymore because it didn't seem to get much more than surface dirt.. i shouldv'e dried with the leaf blower then microfiber towel one section at a time because i ended up rubbing out water spots when i was waxing.. and insteand of blow then towel I blowed then spray on wax and towel.. which if i do it section at a time i don't thenk will be bad but i don't know how well the wax works..

any tips anyone can offer will be apreciated come next time but I had bird crap on it this morning so it couldn't wait.. My pretty new black focus with bird crap accents just wasn't doing it for me
