So, I FINALLY got ahold of a pressure washer that is compatible with my Foam Cannon from Chemical Guys! I was able to use my Foam Cannon along with some Honey Dew Snow Foam on my GTI and my SVT Focus with GREAT results...(Pics were on my cell phone, sorry).

The Foam Cannon shoots a thick layer of foam all over the car, you then let it soak and wipe away with a scratch-free wash mitt then spray off the remaining foam. I am MORE than satisfied with the results it leaves and it's a fun and easy way to wash a car... I enjoy it far better than the old two bucket method!

There are plenty of youtube videos from Chemical Guys on the use of the foam cannon with use of their Honey Dew Snow Foam and Mr. Pink car washes... I highly recommend checking out CG's videos online, good stuff!!

it's time to give the car another "once over"… I want the car took GREAT when we put in the PWSC this weekend. Weather was nice, so it's time of freshen the car up. I started with a good foam cannoning!!

foam cannon from Chemical Guys:

After that, car needed a GOOD clay barring, since it is a DD and has spent most of the summer outside.

This is Chemical Guys clay mitt:

an absolutely amazing product, makes claying your car SO simple and easy.

Up next, it's ready for polish. The car has a few imperfections, so my plan is to use some CG V34 to dial out any minor swirl marks or minor imperfections. Then I'll put on a layer of Blacklight Glaze to further hide/minimize the swirls/imperfections, giving the car's color a great "pop", then It's time for a sealant, I'm going with Extreme Depth with M Seal, and then closing everything out with a Butter Wet wax… long day!

All in all, the car came out great. It didn't need much, since I actually did wax the car at the beginning of the summer, but felt it needed a good cleaning. I'm on vacation now, so I have time to give the car some attention.

I also had some real issues with the front end. At 70K miles now, i'm also tempted to repaint the front end as it really, IMO, takes away front he overall cosmetic look of the car. I picked up a FLEX 3404 VRG rotary from a friend, and decided to polish the front clip. This has a LOT more power than my Griot's Random Orbital and really helped! I'm happy with the results.

All thats left now is to fill in a few stone chips around the car that have hindered my eyes as well. I really enjoy the look of this car, the Screaming Yellow really shines when taken care of properly. Thanks for looking!
