I see there are some people that are boosted that really recommend these to save a motor if it something bad happens, do you think it's all in the tune, or do you think it should be done regardless?

also, would I need this regardless if supercharged? or turbocharged?

I dont have them and wouldnt buy them for me , Now saying that most dont have the ability or knowledge to do the tuning that i have

The stock knock sensor does very well so if the stock sensor if left on and working i dont think the J&S is needed , I have found some Foci mostly SVT that i have had to turn off the stock knock sensor settings because there to sensitive in this case by adding the J&S it has the ability to adjust the sensivity and you will have a working knocksensor

The J&S works off the stock Focus knock sensor and wiring

If you keep the stock knock sensor turned on i dont think the J&S is needed

Yeah I considered the J&S for my setup. The one thing that would be very nice would be to somehow get a warning lamp to let you know when your knock sensor detects something(Does our check engine lite illuminate if the sensor detects a knock or does it just alter timing?). It would kinda let you know that something is up, possibly with your tune or your fuel. I know you can log it, if you suspect something, but I am talking in everyday driving.

I say Tom is the man and what he says should be considered! I have'nt even bought anything off him but I hear nothing but good things from him and I would listen to waht he has to say he is very very knowledgeable.

The J&S has the ability to show you knock and how aggressive the knock is with a row of lights , I think this is an option you can buy with the J&S
