: SVT Bond??
Seb656 03-21-2004, 10:53 PM I always see SVT Cobra's driving and every time I see one (or any other SVT for that matter) the driver and I both roll down are windows and strike up a conversation from light to light It seems like theres a special bond between SVT owners I guess cause of all of us having the love for high performance cars
Just wondering if this ever happens to any of yalls
itsmemorphious 03-21-2004, 11:11 PM O my god, that happend to me tonight. There was an older gentleman who i pulled up on in an SVT Cobra tonight he looked like the snobby type, anyway at the next red we where side by side and let me tell you i'm the type that if your ride looks good i'll nod at you or something to acknowledge your ride. So before i looked at him he lowered his window and asked how i liked it and how he was thinking of getting his daughter one. Anyway it was cool just to know that i'm part of an (going on a limb here) exclusive club. The guy made my night.

Chick 03-21-2004, 11:31 PM I'm that guy's daughter. :)
Seb656 03-22-2004, 12:01 AM LoL every Cobra I see its an old man driving and there always really cool guys
microtonal 03-22-2004, 11:52 AM Nice.
I usually get head nods from other modded Foci when I see them on the crusing strip.
You'd think that buying a Focus was like joining the mob....[paraniod]
We always get into conversations with Harley, Big Dog and hot rod drivers. It's awsome.
smoknzx3 03-22-2004, 12:40 PM I like it when people in general do this. I get it from all other focus drivers all the time.
Chick 03-22-2004, 12:43 PM I got another Focus that revved their engine up at me when I first got it. That was over a year ago. I'm glad to see other Focus owners are friendly in your area's. Mine aren't.
SVTguy182 03-22-2004, 06:20 PM The only other focus owners ive talked to i knew already, the rest just ride by and dont pay attention. Same for svt owners, doesnt bother me though.
CanadianSVT 03-22-2004, 06:43 PM I always check out other foci driving around, looking for ideas and giving respect.
beat3rfocus 03-22-2004, 06:48 PM i will nod at others with nice carss but normally i get a stiff side of face look as they continue to drive. people in michigan don't give a rats a$$..i hate it i like when people are all frendly! kinda like here
Seb656 03-22-2004, 10:45 PM I always nod at peoples with nice cars or give them a thumbs up and they always do back people with nice cars usually like the attention
Shady R 03-23-2004, 01:00 AM WOW I got one of those head shake nice car looks, driveing down the street a while back ago and I was in so much shock I forgot to roll down the window be for I said thanks. Blond momment I guess. I'm new to the head shake nice car look so how are you suppose to respond to it? What is the correct words to say or look your suppose to give?
Red Rocket 03-23-2004, 07:41 AM I always try to acknowledge other Mustang( GT or Cobra) and Modded focus drivers. There is some kind of Bond and it is a good one.
Infra3sv 03-23-2004, 01:13 PM I don't have much in common with the other SV owners I've met. The only thing I have in common with those guys is a respect for eachother's vehicles. Those guys are a different breed IMO. They care about their quarter mile while I've never been to the drag strip. I have more in common with Mazda, Volkswagen, and other small displacement car owners than I do with the quarter mile guys. The guys I know with drag cars have a easy method of comparing cars; they compare slips! I don't fit in with these guys.

I think for the most part this is my take on it.........but something I've seen lately in some of the Mustang mags is how the Focus is talked up by the writer's as being a good car to mod as well. Not that I really lose sleep on this but it's just an observation.
-Later
Seb656 03-23-2004, 11:34 PM The focus is a great car to mod it has the potential to be an awsome rally car (which it is) when you give them some real power and people are just realizing this hopefully ford will smarten up
