Ok so all day my car was fine.. then after work my rear (driver side) window starts giving me trouble. The motor makes the glass skip on the way down and the motor seems to make alot of noise... It goes up fine but it sounds like its broken on its way down..
The car is an 06' zx5 that ive had since feb..... only like 3000 miles on the car too!
So... is this under warantee or what? and would it cost me ANYTHING to have it fixed/replaced? What could cause this to happen?

take it in. with only 3k on the clock, i'd be a little pissed off if my window made some crazy sounds. and no it had better not cost you a darn thing.

mine did the same thing..except mine broke..the passenger side first...i was putting it down..it was going then it grinded and the window just fell down...switch wouldnt work..brought it in..asked them to ck both back windows...they said they did...that was in mar 06..then in june ...same thing happened to my drivers back window...the dealerships in NC suck ....and just waste my time..so im still driving round w/ a broken drivers side window...

Well from having to purchase a new regulator, which cost 230 bucks, for my passenger side window I can say the motor is actually attached the regulator. So if the motor is bad you would have to replace the whole unit as far as I know.
This install is actually VERY easy to do. Just need one of those special bits to remove the screws surrounding the panel and pop it off. Then cut away the foam and theres a bunch of different holes in the door. There will be some gold screws I believe they were. Two on the left two on the right. Near the top and bottom of the window.
If you decide to do it yourself PM if you want I can walk you through it. There are how tos on removing the door panel. Its really easy. Just spending a crap load on the part sucks.
Should be covered if it came with the typical 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. Here's hopin' your dealership takes care of you!
