I guess so when coming straight from the factory. VW has too many parts out there to make them killers, they are just too expensive in comparison.

the svt only runs a 16.1? i thought it was like a low 15 high 14 sec car, or is that just cause of the desert?

not high 14's but mid to low 15's yes.

It's more like a mid-to-high 15 second car if you average out the various test times. I didn't read the article so I dunno what happened, but conditions and test driver's skill certainly can make a difference in times.

Man everytime I see PZEV I think of PEZ. The article was on Car and Driver today. The SVT had the best handling...I think. I can't remember, but it looked beautiful taking the corners on their track.
