[b]PROJECTED TURNOUT: 250 Cars+ as we adjust to the new location

BEST WAY TO GET THERE: In my opinion, the best way to get to the new meet is to travel on the North Dallas Tollway, North just past 121 to GAYLORD Parkway. Follow the road right to preston past the baseball park and hotel. When you get to Preston, make a right, and you will see Cruisers on the left, with BRIGHT RED NEON all around the sides. The parking for US is on the RIGHT SIDE and directly behind the resturant.

Private entrance to the resturant will be open from the back lot, directly into the RKC ROOM and Elevated viewing area for the meet.

We hope that you all can make it out, and have a safe and fun time! Private uniformed security and local police will be onhand to make sure we all have a good time safely at this legally sanctioned event.

Wow, some more nice pictures, I have to make it to the next one. I clay bar'd and waxed yesterday, looks brand new!

I just bought a claybar and wax kit and some micro fiber cloths and some Auminum wheel cleaner. So hopefully I'll get a chance to clean it up real pretty like.

i wont be out there next monday. work is making my team go over nights so i will be working from 10pm-7am. should be there on the 14th with some changes.

tim, what % is the tint on your car? do you ever get trouble over it? i know its really dark and im curious how dark i can go without trouble.

The tint I have is 15%, and I have never had a police officer mention it at all even after being pulled over for something else. I would not got darker than 15% though.

If you crack your windows they bleed light thru both ways, so they look lighter when cracked a bit. And of course, whenever you get pulled over, make sure you just let your windows, all of them down before the officer even gets out his car. Thats when they get mad/nervous when they can't see in and think you might have something going on.

I used to go with 5% all around, but I used to have them mention my tint was too dark. But without a light meter or nothing, there is nothing they can do. I just got tired of having to let me window down to make a left hand turn so I could see the median, lol

I am considering the euro front (and rear for that matter)

but Im keeping the plates, tehy are actually legal, and if i get that stamped stuff, they arent legal plates.

actually they technically are. they are actually stamped, prison style, and from what i can tell there is no difference between them and the real ones. are there any carzy things like hologram stickers or the like on your plates?

I would rather stick with the legal plates, than have some fake ones made up and claim they are real.

The warranty company, their "inspector" and the mechanic who looked at my hatch said I must have been racing it and been dumping the clutch over and over (basically they say I can't drive a standard). So here's the list of what I need:
Transmission Mount
Transmission Case and/or a new Transmission
Shift Cable
also my floorpan is dented in so I was told.

Makes me wonder about keeping my focus this morning.

[:)][:)][:)][:)] that, make them PROVE you were racing or whatever, they have the burden of proof, and just because they dont wanna fork over 3800 for a new tranny (thats what mine cost, and my warranty company replaced it without even sending a inspector over) doesnt mean you are out of options. Give them hell about it, you only had an intake and exhaust, right? They REALLY expect you to race your focus with only that?


Again, make them PROVE any allegations. BTW, was it you that called me this morning? the voicemail was all broken up and couldnt hear it very well.

After giving them the "prove it" talk and it going to their "committee" which was probably three guys around a vending machine debating wether or not to screw me out of it..they decided to cover the repairs, now I want it in writing.

They are waiting for the stealership to decide what parts need to be replaced, I wouldn't mind a new tranny, but if only the case has to be replaced, I just want it back on the road.

I'll update when I have more solid info.

Its not that traded in on the grey cobalt...hmm, I know its someone local.

They said they found a used tranny with 16k on it, and will warranty it till my policy with them expires, which is 2yrs off..now, how long it takes to get my car back..I dunno yet.

Well, the first tranny they got, was for an SPI..weeks go by, second one shows up looking like someone took a sledge to it. Standing under my car, thinking about trading it in on a new Fusion, my hone rings..warranty company was calling, after 3 weeks wasted and two bad trannies..they agreed to let the dealer get one and install it..so if, major if, they get it fixed, I may have my car back tomorrow afternoon.

I found my front pads were toast and discs looked like crap, so I ordered a new set of pads and discs from BAT and I'll need to put those on before I go driving anywhere but home.

dang man, keep us posted.

Looks like tomorrow I hope to get my car back..if they'd had Fusions in stock when I went last week, I would have tried to buy a new car.
