Thanks for the nominations and votes guys. My car's not heavily modified like some of the other competitors, but it works great for me. About to hit 78K miles in less than 3 years with 4 judged car shows and 20 autocrosses in the bag for good ole' Sonic.

Some more mods are coming. Subtle stuff to continue with the theme.

Nah, I've always thought your car deserves it, and knowing you personally and seeing your love for the car, I think you deserve it even more so. You really are a focus fanatic and an asset to the community. Not only do you modify your car, you put it through all its paces including racing and daily driving with plenty of miles on the tach.

Now, I know if you guy's could just hear the Sonic music (yes, actual game music) he plays with his car at shows, you'd only vote for Ataru.

Just because I voted for Massive doesn't mean I still don't support Ataru.

Heh....I "won" it at the fair last year. When I saw a kid carrying one around, I KNEW I had to have one for my car so I set out to get one.

It was a "pop the balloons" game and the carnie told how many I needed to pop with 10 darts to win. When I failed he said I could trade up the small prizes to get the big ones (of course) so I ended up spending about $40 on that damn game until I got to the big one, but I didn't care.

I guess you could say I bought him for $40 at the fair. [:D]

nice, ive been thinking about a theme to my car as well, and i think it will be perfect for my car and such, just need to find the doll first, then ill go from their [:D] thanks for the idea ataru and jm and all that have themede cars like spiderman sonic etc etc.....

The Sonic theme works great for my car since:

1) My car's color is Sonic Blue (obviously)
2) I am the store manager of a videogame store

So there's a double tie-in there.

5 years ago I got a bonus disc from work that had music from all of the Sonic games so I play that in my car at car shows as well. I've even joked that the yellow springs and red struts that my car has match Sonic's shoes. [rofl]

But the best part is when you see a kid come up to your car at a car show, point at it, and have this BIG smile on their face when they see Sonic in the driver's seat. [:)]

There's even a guy on [FJ] that likes my Sonic theme so he's decided to use "Shadow the Hedgehog" for his black Focus:

It took only 10 minutes or so to set up. That's the second time I've set up my collection for a picture like that. I doubt I will do it again unless I get a massive influx of new Focus models, but they are getting harder and harder to find...
