Hey... I have my first Focus problem and was wondering if you guys have any ideas on what's going on? The car has about 2100 miles on it and yesterday the battery light came on. The manual says that means its not charging properly and so I popped the hood to check on a couple things. The belt that wraps aroung the alternator pulleys, etc is nice and tight and the battery terminals are securely attached. Also, the little indicator light in the battery shines green. I got these ideas from my dad, who is much more mechanically inclined than me. He said this is all he could think of to check on other than bringing it to a dealer, which I plan on doing Monday. Luckily it's all under warantee if anything did go wrong, but I was just checking to see if anyone here has some more ideas? I guess it may be the light switch relay itself, but obviously I'm not running the risk of assuming the problem will go away. It's also started up about 4 times that day since the light went on. Any help? Off topic, but the PZEV engine is sooo annoying to get at things (ie: the belt), at least on my Mustang it was right front and center!
