A couple pictures of the birds that hang out on the lakes around here. Beleive it or not, it can be extremely difficult to get in position to get a good shot of these things!

All the pictures were taken with a relatively cheap (~$300 Canadian) 3.2MP Fujifilm S3000. Only "upgrade" I've got on the camera is a 1GB memory card.

Ya, I like going out by myself. No arguing over who's not paddling enough, no "my arms are getting sore" and all that kind of stuff.

Theses were actually taken on a couple different, much smaller lakes near Cold Lake. Cold Lake is pretty damn big and can be pretty scary in a little canoe if the wind picks up!
