Well i got a ticket yesterday, not for speeding thankfully. Got one because i didnt have my front license plate. Yes i am fully aware of ohio's law against not having but in 3 years of not having one on, i have NEVER been pulled over or even had it mentioned. Im pissed but i know it was my fualt and my own stupidity but the ticket is $100!! for a freakin license plate. Im pretty sure i can get out of it by putting it on before the court date and showing them. Anyone else ever get a ticket for this and get out it?

Yeah they'll more then likely toss it out if you play 'stupid' and say you didn't know and promptly put the license plate on the car.

I got a ticket before from this also, like 15 years ago and they tossed it also.

my buddy got into big trouble with this one. he had a mk2 jetta and a euro bumper and all so the us plate wouldnt fit into the holder so he just put a german plate up. he was pulled over for not having a front plate and he just said i have a license plate and pointed it out to the cop. the cop wasnt too pleased gave him a ticket. he threw the front plate on went to court with a picture and got it thrown out.

I got a ticket for no front LP one time parked at a parking meter downtown. The plate holder had fallen off of the car and was laying on the street in front of the bumper....that ticket got thrown out. Thank you Cingular cell phone camera !

I'm glad I live in a state that doesn't require a front plate.

My home (PA) doesn't, Louisiana doesn't, and my Front bumper isn't drilled [:)] [:)]

I would just throw in in the window....NO WAY I am gonna drill into my bumper.......[nono]

mine is placed properly in the pocket behind the pass. seat.[thumb] i used to have it jammed in the windshield on the dash. but got tired of the rattle, plus it looked like poop. so i just stuck it back there. my car was originally a PA car, so there was no bracket from the dealer.

I got pulled over by the highway patrol for no front plate on my T-bird last year. I didn't have it on for almost 2 years. Luckily for me, he let me off with a warning.

I was going to do that, but i didnt like how that looked so what i did was folded the top and bottom under so you just see the numbers, looks kinda like a euro plate, kinda cool. Anyone know the legality of that?

That sucks man. I grew up in Delaware, where you don't have to have a front licence plate. But now I live in Missouri where they do require one on the front. It doesn't look bad on my bumper, because it has a spot on the bumper for it. I don't know what I'll have to do when I get a body kit. Stupid missouri laws.[rolleyes]

I have also got that same ticket. Can't remember how much my fine was, but i still think its a lame law also. Oh well.
