Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this sight and need an opinion, or several.
I found a 2003 Ford Focus ZX3 for sale at a used dealership.
It has 35,400 miles on it and the price is $8,000.
I've read through Autobeef.com that a few people have had engine trouble at around 35,000. I took it for a short test drive and it didn't feel bad, but it kinda felt maybe it needed the tires balanced a bit.
Any information on this car would be great!
Thanks,
Preston

That is a nice fair price. Engine problems? Don't believe everything you read man. See if you can maybe work with the dealer on tires...

Hey,
Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it!
yeah 2003 was very reliable... not bugs to talk off... and the price is very nice...
if you want the best bang for your buck, try loking for an 04 with the 2.3l engine ... those are the best performing and value used foci you can get (you can;t really count 05's as used yet) .
good luck

This is my bud, I am bringing him to the DARK SIDE from his 80's RX-7.
There is no chance in hell to find a 2.3 around here unless its a brand new ST. He has been searching all over and this is the first manual remotly close to here, I had to go 4hrs NORTH to get my car b/c no dealers had any.
I belive the 03's were the LEAST recalled model correct? Any way if you have any 03 info lets hear it.

the 03s are very good, and i usualy recommend the 03+s b/c they dont have problems like the previous years. I love my 03, just make sure to get it all checked out like a regular car, make sure it was serviced properly etc and in no accidents. And if the tires feel off, make sure they are the right pressure and that the wheels are aligned
