Not saying I am the best driver and not saying your cant drive but how long have you been driving, and how much have you tried? I know when I was at the track I had horrable 60ft times and I could just feel it bog horrably but yet when I am on the street now messing with friends (get over it yea I said on the street... my street, my back road) I can seem to pull great and even they have said that I dont bog down.

For me at the track it was my first season at the track and the thrill and everything just never made for good reactions and drivng technique (sp).

I can fully understand a good launch. but this is almost a total stall... i have to double clutch the thing to keep it running.... fun fun fun

If the DSI lever is not broken the DSI could still be inoperative.

Have someone start the car while you are looking at the lever, when the car is started it should pull the lever towards the front of the car.

If it does not move then the acuator is probably shot.

unless the dsi is stuck in the short runner position, it won't affect you off the line... it doesn't open until 5600 rpm with a stock tune.

^^^He has a 2004 model.
The 2004 factory tune switches the runners at 5,000 rpm.

^^ Yep, and I am wondering if he is experiencing the "typical" bog of the stock SVTF ?? Even with my tune, I still get a bit of it. I am not sure what else to tell you.

when I first got my car, I noticed it took a little bit of getting used to. Just gotta get the rpms up a little more and find that friction point.

If you are curious, I live on the north end of CO Springs and own an 02 SVTF....I also wrote the DSI Clip how-to....if you are interested in meeting up I will let you drive my car and see if you notice any difference.

Check your PM's...I hit you up.

SVT's are notorious for bogging. It doesn't really have anything to do with the DSI which only cuts in after 5000 or more depending on your tune. This is due to any one or more of the following: the dual mass flywhell a heavy 24 lbs, a tall first gear, throttle body and the factory tune.
The last 2 can be the quickest way to address it.

I hear really good reviews of Waynes SCT tune and Tom's Preditor.

Your not alone with this, and even the most seasoned driver is plauged with it

try to maybe feather the clutch longer , you may be dropping the clutch a little to fast causing it to bog really hard anbd almost stall, when i first got my svtf i could see where you may get this from....

A tune and bigger throttle body 90% cured mine.

I missed the fact it was an 04, but my main point was, unless you are really trying to break stuff, most people aren't starting off the line at 5600 rpm or even 5000..[:p]

FWIW, a Tune and Intake pretty much eliminated my bog.[thumb]
