I was wondering, if i brought my car in to the dealership for service, do i still get a free loaner and a car wash even though im out of warranty, bought car used and car has a salvaged title?

i bought mine new only 13,000 miles and i don't get a loaner. they tell me VIP treatment on my invoice but no car wash or anything special.

They usually don't give me the VIP treatment either, normally i'm easy going about it but one day I got angry and they didn't hesitate to give me the wash ect. then. You may have to give them gentle reminding.

I don't think you still get the loaner or wash once you're out of warranty, but that could depend on the dealer. I don't know for sure though, the minute my warranty was up I stopped taking my car to the dealer. I hated the dealer. On the plus side, they did assume I wanted a rental each time I brought it in and had the rental company at the ready, and they would wash and vacuum my car unless I asked them NOT to (like if I just washed it myself the day before).

idk about when you are out of waranty but ive always got the svt treatment. i guess it depends on the dealer.

yea i guess is does. i have had no luck with either my SVT dealer nor the local dealer. if i wanted a rental they said no prob but that's not the way i read it in the SVT booklet.

The way the "loaner" car is handled seems to vary from dealer to dealer. In my case, they would send me to one of a couple different rental companies near the dealer, and they covered the cost of the rental, but I had to pay for gas (which I would have to pay for anyway if I were driving the Focus! [:D]) so it worked okay for me.

With all the mods I have done they would throw my Punk Ass out the front door. I am sure I have voided my warranty even though I have less that 14k miles on my 2004 SVTf.

I have gotten a couple free rental cars when I had to take my car to the dealer even thought my car was still out of warrantee (well 36K mile warantee).

I won't let them wash my car and the one time I accepted a "loaner" I turned the car immediately back in. Was a new Cavalier that actually felt dangerous to drive. It's funny but I get treated worlds better whenever my visits involve the truck than the SVT....go figure

Anyways, they supposedly have to prove that whatever mod you have made to your car resulted in your visit for repairs. Some are cool, most are d!cks. I pretty much go in expecting to get buht raped and receive a measley car wash and vacuum for my patronage.

In answer to your question call the 1-800-Ford-SVT phone number and ask them. They can give you the true answer. Some dealers have no idea as to what the SVT service provides the customer, a reminder from either the owners manual or a call to the 1-800 number works wonders.

i called and they said you have to ask for the SVT "perks". they arent required to just give them to you unless you ask.

on that note, do we get an SVT rental? 'Cause when I looked at the write off for th rental, it said SVT rental. A normal rental is like... 17 bucks I think, and he wrote 28. So I'm thinkin I get a premium rental or something? I have been back to try again, but I would like to know. I'm off the 36000 but I do have the ESP 75000... I wonder if that gets me the VIP... anyone know?

When I got rentals under the standard 3/36 warranty, they said it was paid up to twenty something dollars (might have been $28), and also that if a smaller car was not available that typically they would bump you up to a midsize or a truck. In fact, I had only one car that was actually a "cheapo" rental car (Cavalier) the rest were midsize cars or various trucks.

If you own any SVT from 2002 and up, you get a free wash and vaccum and a free loaner car on anything other than oil changes for the life of the car from what I'm told and from how my dealer works. The reason why they don't offer it is because it costs them time and money. They have to fill out warranty paper work for the wash and loaner car. I always thought the dealer ate the cost of the wash and loaner, but FORD pays for it....it is considered "warranty work."

Another thing about the wash and vac is that a "customer pay" wash, pays one hour and a "warranty" wash pays two tenths of an hour for cobra and focus and three tenths of an hour for a lightning. I hope this helps out, but every dealer is different. If they don't know what you're talking about and don't want to look it up, tell them its on the Oasis. Don't back down on it.

it ANYONE washes my car at the dealership.......um...ah.......someone HOLD....ME......BACK...... cause IT'S ON at that point.......OMG, I want to be with it in the service bay.......

and the loaner, yea I better get a loaner if I gotta leave her there....(GOD FORBID)......I thought it was funny, my dad has to pay for a loaner, and he has an 03 Mach1.....hehehe, gotta love SVT BABY!!!!

yeah, they shouldn't have a problem with giving you a free wash and Vac.....just like the Benz's get when I valet'ed at the Benz Dealership......

What is wrong with getting your car washed at the dealer? Maybe I did have a good dealer, after all, because it looked fine to me after they washed it. I could do it better of course, but it's not like they washed it with rocks and dried it with sandpaper.

my car was only in for clutch tsb and i got a loaner, but they give loaners free when you have any service done they also washed and detailed it. They did a real good job on all.

when they wash and vac mine they did a good job a lot better than the auto wash does my car in the winter. as for the loaner they hook me up with an decent cars. th worse i got was a 04 sable.

You get a loaner car/wash and vac for any service there except for oil changes...warranty or not...but most of the time you have to ask for it.

that sucks for all you guys. it always helps to know people! my brother in law is a salesman at my local SVT dealership and the owner of the place is my girlfriends cousin! haha needless to say i get treated very very well there!! [:D]

I don't ask for a wash as they do it ALL the time when its in no matter what.. If I need a loaner car based on the service then I get one without asking..

Do they still give you a loaner if your under 21 cause i need to take mine in because my door handles are stickin like a mother but I dont turn 21 for like 3 more weeks.

yes they will! i'm 20 and last year when i was 19 they gave me a loaner. they gave me a brand new mustang gt! [paranoid]
