Hi , I really need your help. I have a CEL with my SVTF. P1381 (VCT unit)

I want to know what exactly are the symptom of a bad working VCT. Is it the cause of a bad mpg, bad start from a dead stop, rough idle... But the car still pull hard after 4500 - 5000
RPM...

I write it here cause I know you have a VCT eliminator and I want to know if I take off the whole thing, everything will come back to normal ??

My guess would be you had the VCT loose by installing a cam gear or belt , now you have the VCT out of adjustment , and just needs to be put back in adjustment and that in itself can be a job

My VCT Elim will take care of this and you can just install a STD Adj cam gear

I re-install my cams today, with FORD aligment tool. And still got a CEL. So I understand my VCT is [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] up. Should call Focus-Power soon [thumb]
