What is the Predator?
The Predator for 2002-2004 SVT Focus (part no. U7144) is a state-of-the art, high performance tuning flash programmer in a sleek handheld design. Once connected to the vehicle, the Predators internal computer recognizes the vehicles PCM and automatically picks the proper tuning files designed specifically for that PCM. Inside the Predator's memory are the actual tuning files that optimize spark timing and air/fuel ratio curves. Unlike other 'tuners', DiabloSport's programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and a more predictable power delivery. DiabloSport engineers spend many hours on the dyno, street and track to ensure the tunes provided with the Predator are the best they can be.


I suggest everyone checks out this product. 10minutes installation and my car has never ran smoother..better mpg and approx 12whp and 8wtq.

i hate to say this because i see your a noobie but everyone knows about the tune/flashers but welcome, btw congrats on your mod keep them goin you should also check out aem cai and rt high flow cat did wonders for my car great sound and performance[thumb]

There's lots of folks running the Diablo Predator on this site.
My suggestion, if you're interested is to get a hold of Tom at Focus-Power (1turbofocus).
I don't think any other Diablo tuner can beat his setup.

thanks for the advice...I already have the AEM SRI and the sound is amazing at hi RPMs...Im getting ready to order Ford Racing 9mm Focus Spark Plug Wires, Champion Iridium Plugs, Magna Flow 2.25inch CAT Back and off road pipe...Focus Central 65mm Throttle Body and a Steeda Short Shifter....Im ordering all at once I just have to wait for my bonus check this weekend from work

the predator is a very good flasher. but is even better if you have your car professionally dyno tuned and that custom program loaded into it.
theres so much the predator can do as far as diagnistics and datalogging...

^^^You can save your money and nix that.
Unless, you're just looking for sound, because that's pretty much the only improvement to be had.
Check around in some of the exhaust threads, and you'll see the same thing every time.

BTW, SVT stock exhaust is 58mm (2.28")...you're taking a step down with the 2.25".

I got one the EARLY Predators from Tom, even before the had Focus units.

Mine says Lightning on the back of it and when you plug it in it has a Vortec boot screen [ohcrap]

Yeah, I got mine right after you did - mine has that Vortec boot splash screen too - and the box says for Lightning.

Way back before they knew you had to pull the fuses to get it to "take"...
