So after learning about this warrantly/recall on the front springs going on my car and this happening to me months ago, im planning on going to the dealership with my receipts and the recall papers. Anyways I need to make sure where my car was built so by looking at my vin is there a code which says where it was made?
First character .... 1=USA 3=Mexico.. I believe Sedans have always been made in USA - Wayne Michigan...

just to let you know, there have been several recalls on the 2000's, including the fuel pump, key cylinder, coil springs, and in your case there was a recall on something with the sony edition sound system.

Alright ya ive been reading a lot about the recalls and such, so what is covered for me as a second owner of the vehicle and how do I go about doing it. Im going to ford tomorrow with all the papers and info. Do I just wanna tell them straight up and tell them to fix these probs or what. I dont want them to think im going after money(well I am..but) I got the springs fixed at it was 150+ dollars and the right rear door is hard to open for people who arent used to it. So I read this bulletins and stuff theres a ton, what am I eligible for.

how should I expect them to react?

well if theres recalls on your vehicle and they havent been fixed, then they need to be fixed. The recalls has nothing to do where it was made...but yea sedans are made in the US and hatches in Mexico.
^^^Untill 2006.. they started this way, but then moved it all to Wayne... somewhere mid year...
Anyways... I was not sure whetherthe 2000 didn;t have a special cirvimstance... etc... but I guess they didn;t

FORD DEALERS SUCKS!, anyways I went to my good friend mechanic and where I bought the car and hes gonna see what he can do and go through a different dealer. What do dealers suck sooo much, Ive never been to one were the people have been nice. Make me hate those commercials where they say "our ford technicians are nice and blah blah", its crap and I hate being an 18 year old who is honest and mature and they dont even take me serious. Thanks my rant for now, I'll check back when I hear any news on if im gonna get reimbursed or now.
oh btw, the dealers serive dept. couldnt do anything for me simply b/c I didnt have the original print out receipt with my credit info and what not. I had the parts invoice with with my sig and the date and everything and he turned me away. Now why in the heck would he need that when if I didnt get them fixed he they woulda had to fix it anyways, and it would have been more from them anyways. So why cant I get my money back.
He also said hes never heard of the ignition cylinder problem or any other recall or invoice I told him about. Im calling tomorrow and letting the manager or whoever know how this guy treated me. Didnt give me the time of day. But hopefully my guy at the shop can take care of it for me.

PM me your VIN and I will see if there are any outstanding recalls showing on your vehicle.
If you are trying to have a part you purchased warrantied, the dealer needs the original reciept to send a copy to Ford if they ask for it.
