Has anyone here had thier car die in the middle of driving?
Two nights ago my car just died while cruising at 40-45 pushed the clutch in and started back up, no problems after this.
This same problem has happend a few times in the past under the same situation. brought it into the dealer but they could not verify the problem.
its a 2004 svt

a tune ought to take care of it. mine does it too every now and then...in fact, it happened just today

yeah mine does it all the time. infact i was in an accident yesterday because of it. we are now in the process of "lemoning" the car. cars that just shut off arent cool.

EDIT: but i did get a 5.7L hemi ram for the rental!

that's really strange......that shouldn't happen i know the SVT's are kind of cold-blooded, but still

i remember testing driving a SVT 5 dr in the morning at some guys house and he waited 15 minutes for the thing to warm up. it stalled twice while it was warming up, so i just left. i'm thinking to myself, im always running late so there's no way i can wait for my car to warm. my dirtbike warms up faster

mine did the same thing only the battery light would come on for a split second, then the check engine light, and then it would stall. It happened 3-4 times before I had the ECU reprogrammed by Ford under warranty. It happened when the car was at normal operating temps, once at a stop light, once doing 25, and once doing about 40. It freaked me out and as I said, Ford reprogrammed or did something to reset something with the ECU and problem was fixed.
