Well Im selling the foci...what would you say would be a good price to sell it for? Its a 2000 black zx3 with 107k on the motor.. Its been modded with AEM cold air intake, Focus central 4-2-1 race header, Magnaflow cat back, focus central 65mm Throttle body, focus central 2 pc underdrive pulley kit, msd 8.5 ignition wires, sport pro eibach springs, 17" icw 394 rims, nangkang 205/40/r17 , SCT tune with 3 programms =pos0-91 oct standard set up(fueling optimized, ingnition optimized, rev limit set to 7,200RPM, speed gov raised..this is on all pos as well) rear o2 sensor disabled, pos1-87 oct, egr disable and standard set up,rear o2 sensor disabled, pos2- 91 oct, drag launch set at 3000rpm, egr disabled, alternator disable at WOT, rear o2 sensor disabled, debagde, 55w x 4 Cd deck with 2 step motorized detachable faceplate with remote. The interior is good, the body has a a dent not bad though on the right fender from when I had the body kit on and snagged on some rail road tracks, I have a evo5 body kit thats not on it that will go with the car, needs good paint, the rear body kit is on the car. I still have the stock rear bumper as well. The car runs strong, no leaks and only problem I have ever had with it was the tumbler in the ignition and that was replace about 3 years ago, other than that no major problems. Maintaned by me very well, used mobil 1 synthetic ever scince I got and recently switched to royal purple synthetic for all my fluids.
The tires have good thread, but will probably need to be replaced soon. Makes road noise lol, no more nankangs for me lol. I checked the nada and it said like 5000, but that seems to much or does that sound right? what do you think would be a good price to sell it for and what shouldnt I settle for?

Highish milage, and the first year model that was plagued with recalls... Make sure to say it's up to date on all recalls, if it is. 4k seems about right, unless you find someone who knows what work you've put into it, or someone who doesn't (and thinks it's a HUGE thing to install those performance upgrades). You did do plenty with the engine, enough to assemble a big long list of modifications. Might be able to make it seem pretty awesome.

Might do better to sell off some of the parts from the interior, though, that are in good condition, and revert back to stock.

Regardless of how insane a price might be compared to KBB.com or any other appraisal service... you can get what you want for your car if you wait long enough. People are goo goo ga ga for little 4 cyls right now. What you sell your car for is WHATEVER YOU NEED TO GET + $500.

For example.. years ago a friend of mine called me with a problem. He needed to get $2500 for his Toyota pickup. The door was bondoed from an accident, and the paint there didn't really match the truck and was dull looking. The truck also had 200+k miles on it and was close to 10 years old. I told him.. clean it up as best as you can- everywhere even in the insides of the doors. Wax the freaking wheels, and use Vasoline on the tires like armor all- it does the same thing but shines longer. Then advertise the truck for $500 more than what you need to get for it. He did, 3 weeks later after many disappointed prospects.. he sold it to a guy who offered him $500 less than the asking price.

Of course.. act like the $500 is a big deal, or give them the "Well ok, since I know it's going to a good home I guess that's alright[:D]" Don't think of it as ripping someone off... think of how happy both of you will be. In most other instances, you'll feel like you were ripped off afterwards.

Unfortuantly all those good mods is'nt going to help you get more then book value, even then you'll be lucky to get 70% of the actual value, It is what it is.

^^^youll be very lucky to sell it for 5k, and 4.5k, maybe. Like stated before its the first year model and it has alot of miles. Your going to have to find someone into cars i think b/c by looking at your mods your car is definitly on the loud side. Also you might wanna do something about that tune.....most people who are looking to buy a focus are not gonna wanna shove premium gas into it.

Only a fool would pay more then book value for any car regardless of mods. I just looked up nada's listing for a 2000 Focus and its valued at $4500 retail, now minus 30%.So expect to be offered about 3g's, dont forget that a Focus is a dime a dozen so that works against you too.

just put a sticker that says 4800 obo and you can work down to 4500 and just stick with that, i put my tracer at 2300 obo and got what i wanted for it, a lil over 2g's. if they think you think the cars worth a lil more then they will pay a lil more for it

I still say add $500... that's what most people shoot out of their mouth when bartering on a car they really like. No matter how good of a deal you're listing the car for.. say $1000 off KBB value.. someone who has experience purchasing cars will always make an offer less than that and tout cash money in your face, or some BS excuse like "That's all I got with me man..."

Isn't that what you would do when you buy a used car?
