Quick and easy one Tom:

Is the regular zetec head gasket thicker than the svt head gasket?

OR

Is the SVT gasket thicker than the regular Zetec head gasket?

I can't remember, or find where you've posted that info in the past. . .

Soooo, you could potentially put the standard ZETEC gasket on the SVTF to bump up the compression?
Any valve clearance issues?
And, about how much of a bump would it be?

Compression would jump about 1/2 a point , Valve clearance would be fine

What are the benefits of doing this? (obviously on a n/a engine)

None that i can think of worth the time and money to just do the HG

It might be worth a little oopmh if you were bolting on a Ported and Polished head, though right? I was thinking it would make up for any compression lost to reshaping, etc. This is anticipating some supercharging later on.

Meaning, it's really only worth it if you have the head off already. . .

Sure if the head is off there will be a slight gain from it , Tuning will be a must also

My head will be coming off soon for a P&P. Are there any head gaskets out that are thinner than a standard ZETEC?

Yes but the STD ZX3 is pritty thin , dont know if i would go any less you can cut/surface the head if you feel you need more compression

What kind of compression can I expect with a standard zetec head gasket on my svt?

As mentioned earlier, about 1/2 point bump. So, around 10.7:1.
