HEllo, anyone know how to get rid of the factory steering + air bag ?

i recently bought a momo, just want to install it.

its actually illegal to remove a airbag equipped steering wheel, hence why most people now just cover the standard one in leather. im not sure why you want to remove the zetec wheel as its as good as any aftermarket wheel, but thats your choice. i wouldn't suggest trying to remove it yourself though...as i would imagine that if it is not taken off correctly you'll wind up with a face full of airbag....which wouldn't be fun, i suggest taking it to a prefessional....although i don't know whether anyone will do it for you as its illegal and you will get defected for it.

What he said!!! It's a tiny little nugget of a wheel, one of the best factory wheels I've ever had the pleasure of using, especially leather wrapped.

whatever you do unhook the battery first......i could have sold you a momo wheel for cheap,and i mean cheap. i found this,its for a miata but it might help http://www.miata.net/garage/momo/
