I was searching for something else, but I stumbled across a thread where it was mentioned that Tom has a fix for keeping our TPS's dry. I'd love to find out more about that, since I've already replaced two this fall that shorted out due to moisture getting trapped in them.
So if anyone has any info on this I'd really appreciate it!

Well Scott I can pretty confidently {99.99} say I was the fix for the TPS issue but alas the $19.95 kit didn't quite do the job. Tom and I discussed the optional 29.95 kit but so far it hasn't made public release yet.[wrenchin]
Maybe Tom can elaborate further....[:D]
Did yours come from the meth/injection tooo??

no, my car is still n/a... I get moisture from heavy rains, not meth injection.
I haven't heard what Tom's 'kit' is... was hoping is was a simple solution to actually SEAL the TPS. Apparently this isn't the case.
Oh well, guess I'll just keep an extra TPS in the glovebox

The "kit" comprised of silicone {like RTV} and styrophome {sp} wafers sandwiched together, but it was a short lived solution.Moisture was soon forced thru again...

Well, if anyone can post a link to the how-to, I wouldn't mind scanning thru it. I've even considered fabricating a 'drain tube' into mine.
It's just annoying, even though I know exactly what the problem is when it happens.

Hey Tom....
You ever gonna answer your phones....?
Larry
What about a piece of rubber, thin real thin and elastic like a hvy baloon to loosely separate tps from throttle shaft...

Larry, I'm getting Tom to put a bung in the new manifold just for Meth injection. That should take care of the problem, now getting Tom to make you one after we see how it does on mine.... thats another story [:D]

Larry, why don't you get someone to make a TB spacer that'll give you enough room to clear the TB blades then drill and tap it for the meth injector???? Surely there should be enough leeway in the piping to allow a extra 2 inches beneath the TB.
