I will be picking up my SVTF from the dealer in a few days. They put in a new clutch from the TSB. I was wondering if there was a break-in period or anything I should look for. I will look at the parts list to make sure that all was replaced. The guys from SVT made that very clear to me. I just thought I would see if you had some suggestions for me. I have gotten a lot of good info from you guys in the past.
Thanks for all your help

We talked about "break in" more than a few times...[;)]
Most got the same answer I did when we asked:
My tech, said there was no break in required, but I still took it easy for the first couple hundred miles anyway.

Stop and go driving at least 300 - 500 mi before getting on it hard.
I think there is sort of a break-in period for the clutch. At least, maybe system needs to be relubed, but my pedal was super light after the install. With time, it finally stiffened up. I still had clunking, but it turned out to be the crappy catalytic converter heat shield. It had a bit of clunkiness to it (probably the plates smoothing out), but that smoothed out with time.
I had the heat shield replaced, but after getting under the car several times since then, the heat shield stills moves a lot. They will supposedly take off that part when replacing the clutch, so make sure they do a proper reinstallation. Otherwise, you might mistake the rattle of the shield for rattling in the clutch.
