Well, I had a pretty good time running today at Remington Park. I got to meet Galen, Scott, and Shannon (if I spelled that right). Below you'll see pictures of the cars at the event. I was hoping for a little more Foci to turn out, but I'm glad some people showed even with the crappy weather.

Here are the pictures. Sorry if the quality isn't stellar, and yeah, I had to throw in the S2000s because I thought that last shot was awesome looking. Most of the shots are angled to fit in all the cars, so try not to get too disoriented.

I didn't officially take first as of yet, but I was told by the officials that the leader was wrong and to watch the site (OKSCCA site) because I'll probably be in first place on it once corrected. Now I can look forward to never getting awards! [:D]

You took some good pics of all the foci. It was nice to meet some of the focus owners in the area. Scotts 351 CI focus is amazing and Galen, I want your wheels. lol I should of come out earlier so I could of met Shannon and seen his gorgeous white ZX5. Alex and Jason, you are gentlemen and racecar drivers, I look foreward to meeting everyone again in the future.

From what I understand, it is solely your choice if you want to run in novice or not...but once you don't run in novice, you can't run in novice any longer.

Here, once you place first in novice, they tell you you're no longer a novice and will be running in sportsman class. I don't know if you necessarily have to, but there's no reason of dominating novice, you know.

Doesn't mean it's time to buy a miata tho ;)

Well, since most of my pictures are very similar to yours, I don't really need any. However, I'd love to see some solo shots of your car and Scott's (maybe a monster burnout [;)] [;)] ). I wish I would've taken some now, but I had to go drive. I'm sure I'll see them again.

hey where you guys from? i'm from up in KC but my family is from norman, ok. i've got to come down for thanksgiving for a wedding and do the family thing, but thought i might keep up the foreign relations and see how the focci crowd is down there. do you guys have regular meets that i could swing in to or what?

Well, I live in Mustang which if you're not familiar with OK, is on the SW side of Oklahoma City (just about 15-20 miles north of Norman). I'm sure mr. squatch can set up a meet, but I've never been to one officially set up. We just met up at a local autocross event.

We'll see what Galen can set up.

Thanksgiving is the 24th, so I assume he's referring to the weekend of the 24th-26th sometime. I only put the pressure on you because you know all the Foci owners. [;)]

I'd be down with that Saturday night. My girlfriend's out of town, and I'll have already spent Thanksgiving with my family. I'll be free for the time being.

Cool we'll have to plan something for the sat nite. Always a big cruise before the street races.

yeah ill be down there that tues. the 22 and probably staying through the weekend. and yeah i know where mustang is my dad went to school there and i lived with my gpa. in yukon for a while. if you guys get a g2g going just post the wheres and whens and ill try and make it out to meet you all.
