Well, i literally cried today when I signed over the title for my 2002 svt focus. I traded it in for a 2005 ranger. I personally consider it a downgrade, but for where im at in life I think it was a smart move. I couldn't handle paying for new tires and rims al l the time and I just took it in for another problem where i had to replace the coil pack and plug wires (oem i didn't upgrade) and I knew the car would just do something to me again next week. The svt focus is such a great car, I love that thing to death. If I had more income (im a college student) and could afford to keep up the maintenence and not have it be a daily driver (even though its a good one) I'd keep it because it is one of the most fun cars to drive and I have driven alot of nice cars. I'll probably still be on these forums just for the hell of it. The dealer didn't get the rear headrests (lolol) and I have a bent svt rim and tire in the basement and I have my svt certificate so I can make my little shrine! Good luck to everyone with their svt's, if you ever have to part with it, unless your upgrading to a cobra or a Ford GT its gonna be one of the hardest things you'll ever do. [thumb]

Hey man the ranger isnt a bad truck I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Driving an SVT is fairly pricey between the insurance and the tickets (heheh). Good luck with it man you'll be pretty happy but I'm sure you'll miss the autocross.

I'm not against your decision, but why the ranger? A buddy of mine has a 2002 and it's horrible especially in the winter (and that's what he bought it for [?|] ), have they improved since then?
SO, cruz isn't part of the SVT fam nomore [bigcry]

Yes, why Ranger? You could have bought a used Ranger and saved a ton, and still had almost exactly the same truck. The Ranger has not had any major improvements or changes in years. But, whatever...

[bigcry] I'd cry if I had to get rid of my focus. I hate you had to let her go man.

Troll. (only 'cuz you said to...)
I know the feeling of parting with a great car for... sensible reasons.
It hurts, but you'll always have the memories. And when you finish college and get a job and stay away from drugs and find a good woman with her own damn job and do that for a decade... you may be able to re-live those good times again. (Just don't have any kids!)

You make people like Poney happy though!

Who let the Troll with the little truck in? [poke] [;)]
J/K man. Totally hang around the site. We all know it's about more than just cars and if you enjoyed it as an owner you should still enjoy it now. Nice pick on the truck btw.

Well I like the ranger that I got, it isn't great in the snow, but i think its better than my svt was and I love the ground clearance on this thing lol. Rear wheel drive is nice in my opinion, I like the feeling of being pushed instead of pulled. I haven't floored it yet and I'm still breaking in the engine. It has conti's again, which I hate but I'm not gonna replace brand new tires lol. Also I had to buy something new, and the 2005 had all kinds of deals. For the price I paid my friend was telling me I could have had a used subaru wrx and all this other stuff, but for right now I wanted to steer away from "performance" (even if the svt focus wasn't straightline performance) and go with something more null and nimble. The fact that the truck is brand new and im the original owner makes me feel good as both my last 2 cars were used. After I get out of college and get a good job I'll probably trade this in for a nice new car, or keep it and get a used sports car (like a cobra [thumb]). I'll never forget my svt focus though, I only owned it for 10 months, I loved it, even though I spent over 3 grand in little fixes (like the clutch that went out from ford not honoring the tsb through warranty, all kinds of new tires and rims from blowouts, then when I went crazy through that hairpin turn and messed up the suspension). I still recommend the car to anyone, it wasn't about the speed of the car, it was just plain fun to drive. I almost fell asleep driving the ranger to work lol.

Man, hate to hear you let it go...I've only had mine for 6 months, but I feel like I have such a great relationship with it already! It feels like we were meant to be... [:D]

You are still more than welcome to stay around and "troll" LOL
What a TROLL!
Anyway you are not, you're still Ford. Anyway congrats on the new ride and sorry about the Focus that you don't have anymore.

Wow, popecruz, I never thought I would see you get rid of your svt.
