Rudel 09-26-2005, 06:51 PM Sometimes it makes me wonder why I do not want to re-enlist in the USMC.
It's stupid people like the bus-driver that did this to my car backing up. Im currently on the rifle range, and my Staff Non-fire comes up to me to tell me that my car has been in an accident. What a day. So the rest of the day, I have my mind on the car and not concentrating my aiming. O well....I have 3 more days before I quad expert again...no biggy.
PMO tells me that the bus driver backed up without a ground guide and then realized he hit a car, that hit my car, in which my car hit a 2005 Mustang GT, that hit a honda civic. Way to go dipshit. So this dip-shit walks off as if nothing happened. PMO finds him and this Marine tells PMO that he didnt do anything. WTF?!
I want some butts!!!!

LastRites 09-26-2005, 07:01 PM Dude I hear you! Same shit happens in the Army too. But the damage will be easy to fix and the car will be straight. Sorry to hear about this happening to your to you.
jaimz 09-26-2005, 07:10 PM well, those rear "fenders" aren't all thier cracked up too be, thats an expensive repair. they don't just come off like the front ones
LastRites 09-26-2005, 07:19 PM Tell me about it. The tab on my rear 1/4 (including some other stuff) ran over $8,000 but that was considerbly more damage than this
dgualtie 09-26-2005, 07:43 PM that sucks i am hoping that the USMC or the bus driver is paying to fix that
revamp 09-26-2005, 07:48 PM well, look at it this way: You'll finally be able to get rid of that ugly dealer sticker.

i like your logic
awful! awfu!l awful!!!!!!!
SVTJackl 09-26-2005, 09:52 PM Same thing happened to me but it happened at the police station I was working for. A cop hit my car and they wouldn't reveal any info even though it was caught on camera. It looked almost identical to your damage and it was 6000 to fix. It really sucked and I was so pissed. They're lucky I'm not a revengeful guy because I worked as one of their IT Administrator's for the dept and could of done some crazy stuff but I didn't. It's fixed now and working great and that's all I cared about. Good Luck.
kamann 09-26-2005, 09:52 PM Man that sucks. He took out 3 cars and denys it, what a tool. I hope justice is served for you.
bolink 09-26-2005, 10:53 PM Talk about a lack of integrity. Those people my friend are what we refer to as $[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]bags.
BFocusSVT 09-27-2005, 02:47 PM Don't you have surveilance cameras on base? That happened once on the USCG base i'm at only with a golf cart. The guy came forward and said it was him but they had cameras watching anyways. Initially the base was going to cover the bill but I guess the 2 CO's talked and since they knew who it was they made him pay the dude whos car he hit.
Toolman00 09-27-2005, 04:31 PM *Cough* RS conversion *Cough*
Damn cold!
Rudel 09-27-2005, 06:26 PM I called the dealer ship's parts section to see how much the parts are that I need for the body shop to replace:
Rear Bumper Cover: $458.67
Rear Bumber Insulator: $78.25
Rear Quarter Panel: $942.43
Rear Hatch: $459.32
-----------------------------------------
$1939.67 + Paint + Labor = $3000???
The dealership hear has no body shop, but there is a well known good place here that I can take it too. I looked at the RS conversion kit...hehe. Would be cheaper and I am sure the Insurance Company would definately agreee with me to get these parts instead. Either way, the government is paying for it.
The base definately has cameras. That is how they found the $[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]bag walking.
and, As of now, I am waiting on the report from the MPs (PMO) so I can show my insurance company.
I'll be damed if I have to pay $1000 to fix something I did not do. I have a $1000 deductable
to keep the insurance down. Only 3 more years before it goes down some.
I'll keep you guys updated. Damn, This October 7th, I was suppose to get a new catalytic monitor installed.

SuperFocusMan 09-27-2005, 06:55 PM Labor will be just be about what the parts cost
I had some suspension parts replaced as well as my steering column
Total parts was 557.69
Total bill was 1020.97
minos 09-27-2005, 07:01 PM Draw and quarter the swine!!
XitTriq 10-22-2005, 03:37 AM Throw him in the Brig! lol That way he will be on a ship, in a cell and away from land vehicles. Sorry that crap happened! Like some of the others have said, at least you dont have to deal with that ugly dealer sticker! That thing is huge, why didnt they just tie a banner off the back of your car, it wouldnt be much worse!
Rudel 10-30-2005, 07:57 PM Stopped by the Legal Office here on base, damn turds haven't sent my claim package to Quantico yet. I told them to give me the address and all my papers back. I had to send it myself! I could of had the money by now!!! geees. Talk abot hte gov't not wanting to waist their money on stuff.
Anyways, the car is still the same, I went into Ford services, and they re-aligned by steering, and fine tuned my suspension again. Of course, I sent the receipt in with the claim's package.
That Marine bus driver that hit my car, was NJP'd and reduced in rank. I still don't think that is good enough. I hope I don't see his car anytime soon. muahaha.
Little embarassing driving around like this. :o\ o well.
Hey Bolink, where are you located in SC?
fordblue72 10-30-2005, 08:08 PM Hey you know that there is more you can do about that. Besides the guy's lack of integrity, you can at least fix your car. If it is anything like the Army, I am sure that it is you have soldiers or in your case Marines, that dont do their job. Have you brought this issue up through your chain and if so there is an IG you can call, at least call them and ask for more advice.

That's rediculous! They NJP'd him and punishment was reduction? So know he's gonna have less money to pay to get it fixed! I would just request the gold ol' 30/30.
Rudel 02-16-2006, 07:39 PM Bull crap ain't it? Just hope I dont have to see him in person.
Rudel 05-09-2006, 04:21 PM haha! Finally after almost nearly a year. I received the check in the mail, and hauled ass down to the body shop. Been almost a week, and of course with the usual BSing of how long it takes. You know how the dates jsut keep getting pushed back.....well....I stopped by the shop during lunch time and grabbed a few pics.
It's so awful to see my interior parts just laid all over the place collecting sanding dust, and getting scrapped up...as well as the nice leather interior. Their are foot prints all over carpet. And crap being laid on the top of the car waiting to be scratched in some way. I really hope they clean the shit out of my car. After all, I clean her inside and out every dam Sunday.
