How much gear chatter should a jrsc have. Mine is pretty pronounced at times at idle. I have heard some say that the jrsc is not supposed to have chatter and some say that it is normal. Basically, what is the bottom line to this.

That doesn'r sound normal. The blower should be quiet at idle.

1.
What does the chatter should like ?
Grinding ?

2.
Did you buy the JRSC new or used ?

3.
How many months/miles has been installed ?

1. Some what, it has a chattery clunking sound

2. New

3. 4 to 5000 miles ago

I just noticed it this morning. I really doesn't seem like it should be normal to me nether. I have heard people say it is normal and some say that it is not. Please if you have any feedback what so ever then please post.

I have seen the bearing in the front of eaton blowers go up before. See if you can isolate the noise further. Is it in the front of the blower where the pulley ataches. You may need to take the belt off and see if anything is loose..Also, if you have a buddy with a mechanics ear or a stethescope this will help pin the noise down in location!!!

It sounds to me and my ase mechanic that it is coming from the back portion. I have sent an e-mail to jr. I hope they don't try to just shoe me off. They are some of the hardest people to get a hold of.

It could be the plate in the back as well... Hopefully it should be covered under warranty.

I just called them today. They said that it does not sound normal. They told me to take it off and when I got it off to give them a call and they would send me a return order number to send it back. From there they will inspect the charger to see what is wrong, repare or replace it and a tell me if it is covered by warrenty, which I would certainly hope not because I have done nothing to cause the problem.
