What are you talking about? The SVT suspension kit is 245.00 on our website, it always has been since day 1.
09-29-2005, 03:50 PM
^^^opps, my mistake, sorry about that. Ive been cursed now, Todd will probably deny me from buying anything from the site now.
09-29-2005, 03:56 PM
I'm interested in the one for the 05 zx3. i think it was #3. What does it do to the cats? does it keep them or get rid of them? and what the shipping cost?
09-29-2005, 05:17 PM
^^^well you only have one cat...but it keeps them where they are. If im not mistake all foci exhaust are actualyl flex back systems. So if this is true it will just replace everything from the flex pipe back.
09-29-2005, 10:17 PM
you will retain your factory convertor. The shipping is $25 within the US
DrkKnight614: no problems at all. if you need anything let us know, we are here to help you!

I just got a $82.80 ticket for going 10 over. i wasnt even meaning to, but it was like 11: 30 at night and i was on the way home from watching a football game 2 hours away, and not having cruise sux because you can really lose track of how fast you are going.

im intrested in geting # 2 for the svt borla. i have a zx3. i read that its a 2.5 in piping and the cat on the zx3 is 1.25 so i need to do mods on it. what does that include.
n e ways.
how much would shipping be to hawaii? zip 96797. dont have to be ups, could be usps if its cheaper. i guess it would be ground/boat b/c air would just cost too much. lmk
either pm me or e mail me @ firstname.lastname@example.org
I believe the only mod is to slot the bolt holes on the exhaust flange of the Borla kit. I'm planning on doing the same thing.

10-08-2005, 12:41 AM
I got my exhaust through a Todd-Borla special! I loooooove it!
10-08-2005, 12:47 AM
I missed my chance I guess, gotta wait for all my bills to clear but I know I am gonna do it soon. I will wait for the next round. Question though, can the exhaust swap be done in the driveway by two very handy guys, my father and I? Got no lift but jack and jackstands. I was figuring on paying to have it installed professionally, just wondering.
10-08-2005, 01:30 AM
I'm pretty sure jackstands should do it. You really only cut the old system and bolt up the new. Two people should help since the exhaust is long and awkward, but it's not technically challenging.
10-08-2005, 12:22 PM
I remember doing a Magnaflow kit on my 2.8 liter 6 cyl. 84 Camaro, and it had to be up on a lift to get the pipe over the rear axle, thankfully I was in autoshop class in highschool at the time. I will take another peek under the Focus, might be possible, but I would also like to have it welded on professionally. Thanks...

I have some ramps and I'll let you know. That's what I plan on doing.
10-09-2005, 04:29 PM
[V] i wish i wasnt poor....i guess im going to be paying full price for mine.
Just wait. New deals come around all the time. Just don't rush it once you get the money and wait for a good deal to come up.
10-10-2005, 01:16 PM
Thanks heat, let me know how smoothly it goes.
Got my exhaust today [thumb]
I probably won't be able to put it on for atleast a week though because the weather is terrible here.
10-11-2005, 05:26 PM
AHHHHHH!!!!! I missed the sale!

Got the SVT Borla installed on my ZX3 today. The install of the Borla was pretty easy after my Dad and I got the bolt holes slotted probably 1/8" on each side towards the pipe. The hardest part is getting that stock system out. I only had ramps so if you can use jackstand on all four wheels, it will be much eaiser. Since the car was so low we couldn't get a Saws-All under the car so my dad had to use a grinder and went through about 4 cut-off wheels with all the cutting since we had to take the whole system out in 3 or 4 pieces since the car was so low. The flange bolts had to be cut off with the Saws-All since they were rusted terribly. Before you start, get a new flange gasket for between the flex pipe and the exhaust system. I have a tiny leak there now because the old gasket was already compressed so much from before it won't make a seal when it's cold. It was about a 4-hour install including going out trying to get a new gasket since AutoZone couldn't look up in their computer for the SVT or standard Zetec gasket and Advanced Auto didn't have the part. I had to bring the gasket back to AutoZone and they had nothing that matched it. Once you get the old one out, it goes pretty well. Just set aside enough time to get it done. Also, if you get the car up higher, the exhaust should come out of the rubber hangers MUCH easier since my Dad and I couldn't get really any leverage with the car so low. Good luck, the sound is AWESOME. The car pulls MUCH harder above 4k too. Really noticeable and a real throaty sound.
Does the Borla side exhaust for the SVT not work on the 04 SVT? I see it's for 00-03.
I don't think there was a SVT in 2000 so it might be a typo. I believe the SVT's were made from 02-04. That could be the standard Zetec side exit. Do you have a link?
10-17-2005, 12:31 AM
The SVT exhaust should fit all SVTs, and yeah they were only made 2002-04.
For those with the Borla side exhausts, how are the fitment? Does it sit any lower than the stock exhaust (anywhere along from the cat on back) even with lowering springs installed? I have too many speed bumps/humps around my area to go bottoming out on the exhaust piping or cat.
10-24-2005, 02:21 AM
heat, for the gasket, could you have just gotten a paper gasket from checkers ect. and then just cut it to fit the old one? or was it a different type of gasket?
I'm not sure. The stock one is metal so I don't know if a paper one would burn up from the heat. I posted in this thread asking about what to do with the gasket. If you have any problems, this should clear you up:

heat, good description on the install. My car is in the shop right now getting an alignment and the SVT kit installed. Borla is next!
