: Dsim Cable Freak

I have installed a jrsc, and today, i let my dad drive the car, we put gas in left, and at the light i heard this mechanical open close sound, the sound never got any louder or faster with driving, but when we stopped, i noticed my dsim cable was freaking out open closed open close as fast as it could, even while were at idle... I have had the blower on for 7000 miles and it has never done this. Anyone have any suggestions... It doesnt affect drivability, its just loud and noisy, and kinda worries me.

just unplug the DSI actuator. I think it's underneath the battery tray, or somewhere in that general area. with the JRSC on there you don't need that
Just unplug the danged thing.[;)]

Busted DSI clip. Warning though...unplugging it will give you a CEL.

yeah, i discoverd that, i dunno what to do, i plugged it back in, i guess i can just deal with the noise... i may bust box open and make it actuate somthing... i dunno any permanent solution suggestions.

get a tune, it'll run better and make more power than the "black box" tune that comes with the JRSC and you can delete the DSI function from the tune so it won't throw a CEL
^^^Beat me to it again!^^^ [eek]

The Irony: I dont have the jrsc black box, and i also dont have an sct tune. I thought i had an sct tune, but the lights were actually throwing a code link error, not actually loading the program to the car. So I have been driving on the stock tune with an ecu that has never known anything but boost (other ecu fried after supercharger installed, changed under emissions warranty), and my junk still hasnt blown up. at 5psi. So my tuner is being shipped to sct to save the tunes that were on it, and put it onto an uncorrupt flasher. I bought the blower used from Ricky Rodriguez aka "thinkfast" on the other focus forum and importatlanta.com

I have a JRSC kit as well. I installed the kit at 32k. Now its at 54k and has begun making the DSI noise. What does DSI stand for anyway? Now that I know whats making this noise, I'm on the way out to fix it. rednblackSVT - it may not blow up, but do you hear pinging? I hate this stupid black box. It's such a worthless bandaid for boost. When I let off the throttle and the engine is no longer under boost, the ecu has already begun conservation due to the improper rich tuning forced by the black box. As a result, my engine tries to die every time I exit boost. I'll let off the throttle for a second and then re-apply it and everything is fine. Anyone else have this problem? Oh well, soon I'll have the boost upgrade kit with a proper tune application. Maybe I can pay them extra to eliminate the DIS operation...?

I have no pinging, praise the lord. and you live in fayeteville, sweet.
DSI stands for dual stage intake manifold.

The JRSC you bought from "Ricky" should have came with a spring loaded peice that attaches to the end of the DSI cable to keep it from open close open close. I'd call ricky and ask where it is!!!
