Would i be able to put a jrsc on my atx focus without worrying about the tranny blowing out b/c of the added tq, or would i still need to upgrade it even with a small sc like the jrsc? Thanks

We installed the JRSC w/ FR BBK. They work fine on the ATX.

Ya, they work but I've most are disappointed in the power of the stock JRSC.
You might want to look into to see if the JRSC+BBK(Big Boost Kit) will work safely on an ATX.

^^^supposly powerworks is coming out with one for he atx....but with the power they are pulling on those things, i dont see how it would be safe for a stock auto tranny.

What numbers did you achieve with this, and how many miles does the car have on it while having the s/c on it. I thought the atx is only rated to 130, doesnt the jrsc put out 150 or so torque?

No, we did the exact same install on that S2 in my gallery and the atx didnt last at all even though the JRSC doesnt add crap for boost. We ended up doing a MTX75 swap. That car was bought new by my boy and was put on when the car was new. I dont advise doing much at all to a ATX car unless you beef up the trans.

^^^just what i thought, so if my tranny finaly wears out from normal wear and tear...would it cost the same for the dealer to do a mtx swap as it would to replace the atx. And if itll cost alittle more...how much more would this be?

With tuning you can help the ATX handle more power. These tranny's are mush boxes but can be tuned to work like a real ATX. FR does help it out with there tuning in the BBK kit.
