: tapping the oil pan

my turbo kit just got here and I've got just about everything on but was wondering were do I tap the oil pan? If anybody has a picture that would help also

Generally if you're going to tap it you do so in the front of the oil pan as high as you can. The vortech kit has you tap the block skirt which is where I usually recommend people tap. Of course not many people like the though of drilling there. If you do, make sure you take the oil pan off.

For insructions on how, check the Vortech install manual. They recommend using a rotobroach bit but I just used a standard one.

I would tap into the Engine Block Skirt where Vortech suggested me to do mine. The rotobroach bit will make a VERY clean cut all the way through. I would highly recomend tapping into the skirt.
