All right so the name "Focal Point" won.Lets get your take on this and what you guys want this to grow into.

I want to do more meets and shows... yep... we could be huge... and take over the show scene... everyone everywhere will be envious of the focus and want to get one... then ford will see the potential of the car and svt will go "hey! I think this car deserves an AWD turbo version" and I will buy one and it would be awsome.....

but no seriously, I'd like to do more meets and get in some shows... that'd be good stuff...

Well, the track opens at 6, so i will be there at that time. This is only if the weather will hold out, which is looking like it WON'T!!! I hope it will though. I will be the only one with a 2005, can't miss it, just listen and follow the noise!

I'll be trying to get there around 6 if weather permits... if no then I think we should move it up a week to the 2nd... (I also posted that in the FJ thread...)

but best to wit until we see what's going on with the weather...

if we do branches, how do u separate the branches? like which region? or some major city?

thats how i would think that the people in that state would meet in the biggest city or easiest city to get to for the members of that branch. like if we do a NC and SC branch or just an SC branch we could all have a mrtyle beach run or a run closer to the boarder. something that cuts the meet time down to like and hour or so. not a all day drive just to get there. im just trying to make it a little easier for the mebers that live further away then most

if we do a big meet, I think atlanta sounds good too... they have a qzar... then again so does tampa....

For some reason Im not fond of the idea of driving 8+ hours to a meet 4 hours tops for me which is allmost anywhere in FL

SINCE THIS IS THE ONLY FOCUS CLUB IN my region i would like to join but i to do not want to drive that long. so i think branches would be good. also i think that Qzar is lazer tag

1st we need a list of locations of everyone.. I'm still waiting for official in or out for everyone but heres what i threw together

with the ppl I have listed above, we would have a North and South with North meeting most likely in ATL where from Lower ALA (i just went by mobile) it would be 6.5 hrs and 327 miles and from Cary, NC it would be 6.25 hrs and 410 minutes.. soulth would meet in orlando because thats central and where most of the members are.. full club meeting would maybe take place in jacksonville, FL where its 6.25hr 403mi from LA and 7hr 461mi from cary, tampa area is 4 hrs and orl and titusville is 2 hrs again because so many are in orlando it only makes sense to be a lil closer.. (times and mileages are estimates based on yahoo maps and directions)

I went back to the other thread with the poll and took the locations of everyone that posted and this is what the map would look like if everyone joined.. there would be and east, west, and south with south meeting in orlando, east in maybe columbia and charlotte and west in maybe columbus or atlanta.. i didnt spend the time to check on miles and time for this one

now all we need is a full list and volunteers to be chapter as well as overall club officials and leaders.. I'm willing to take an administrative roll in each but there no way one or 2 ppl can do everything that needs to be done to get this started and maintained

I did a yahoo search and found alot of focal point websites and I took some of the cooler logos and played with them just a lil bit so go here to look at them or post some of your own because we still need that eye grabbing logo thats not too over the top so we can actually have it on our everyday cars

i think the chapters should be like state specific cuz i know this is a very important deal but i dont really feel like driving all the way to ATL. esecially the way gas is and will probably continue to be.

Needz_a_ZX3: you wern't on the 1st map because you hadn't posted in this topic or sent me a PM so I wasn't sure if you had changed your mind.. I have you listed in the second map with everyone from the other post that I'm not sure if thier in or not and with that one you would be meeting in charlotte or columbia which are much closer..

I put together the map and chapters based on the ammount of ppl in the area and tried to pick a central meeting point close to where the most ppl were but still reasonable for the furthest ppl which happen to be in mobile(?), AL and cary, NC.. which it takes over 6 hrs to get to atlanta for them and just under 5 for you.. but all this is best guess as of now.. I need a for sure members list to give chapters for sure an then the chapter leader would be responsable for meets and meet locations.. also I didn't take into account ppls willing ness to drive.. for me 6 hrs isn't much but for another 4 hrs is too much so all that will be addressed later

superfocuszx5: i wouldn't quite go with state specific so much as I would area.. 1st focusin would be all by himself in alabama.. also augusta is in GA but closer to columbia, SC than ATL so it makes sense for him to go out of state.. but again untill we get a full official members list nothing is set in stone and even then the chapter heads can set up meets where ever is best for the chapter or even move it around so the same ppl don't hafta drive every time

The blue logo looks good. I think focal in ford type set and point in the focus type would look good and relate to what the club is about.

wow, ive never been on the east site..there are 6 of us in montgomery that meet like 3 times a week, we are all good friends and we would all like to be a part of a big focus thing thats goin around, atl is only like 2.5 hours from here so whatever time is good, i think meeting at a track would be more fun, we have a pretty cool track in montgomery if yall would like to even meet here for the west branch, it doesnt matter to me..oh and i like the bullseye the best

if fokuzx3 has 6 guys in montgomery that would join then thats 8 ppl for the west chapter.. i count 5 for the east chapter but I'm pretty sure theres more.. and 7 for the south

now we just need 1 person from each chapter to step up and be a chapter leader and I think we should maybe vote for an over all leader to coordinate info between the chapters.. I know i'm talking alot on this but I'm just anxious to see it get off the ground and be more than something to talk about on here..

all the logo ideas are good but I think we need to get more orginization 1st then once we have a definate group with a list of members then we pick a logo

I don't mind (and would like to at least help with) runnin the south and/or overall but I don't wanna step on any toes.. if someone else wants it and is more suitable then I'm happy with that.. I'm a people pleaser.. and even if I did it I will need help so someone will need to volunteer anyways.. so If anyone wants me to act as leader then let me know so I don't feel like i'm the pushy guy who wants to run things but no one cares what he says.. well what about you or cruzstyle.. he seems to be into it.. or superfocuszx5 hes chimed in recently.. I'm sure the three of you could work together and get something happening

and mike your were the 1st person that popped into my head as far as helping me or runnin it your self.. the biggest advantage you have over me is you know ppl in the area where I don't know anyone.. and i've only been here since january so I don't know the area yet..

so I guess now that FPS and FPW are set we just need someone in the east and then we can set up meets for the three to get aquainted and get an official "roster" then pick a logo and start looking towards a full club meet in a few months..

one thing I would like to get from everyone is distance and travel time that you dont mind going for a meet.. I'd like it for a once a month meet, once every 3 or 4 months meet, and a once or twice a year meet... PM would be best so we dont clutter this topic but reply in here would be fine too.. This info will help me orginize meets and get them located where they need to be and will be a big help in full meets.. me personally I like to drive so heres mine

monthly - 3 hrs - around 200 or so Miles
3or 4 mos - 7 hrs - how ever far that gets me
yearly - 10 hrs - i can get to charlotte in that time

The chapters thing is making this idea sound a lot better than it originally did. I wouldn't mind going to meetings somewhere nearby in AL.

bit a bad idea, but look for a company with unlimited bandwith... may cost a bit more, but wont get down time because of too much bandwith usage

this is what i think, i think each branch should have their own separate logo, and if noone else calls it, id like to have the bullseye focal point one

i could just have a bunch made and then when we have a meeting here, i could hand them out and there you have it

I like that idea Danny, only thing I want is that the stickers MUST not look like a bumber sticker. Its gotta have either a clear backround or just be clean cut (clean cut preferably).

I like the regional stickers Idea.. also the website idea.. I know a lil html and a few websites for things to brush up my memory and $9 a month isn't much but we may need to start thinkin about a membership fee.. not much maybe just like $20 twice a year or something that way ppl like me and fokuzx3 who are willing to pay what ever don't get stuck with the bill for every little thing.. that way also we can look to do stickers and maybe t-shirts and what not for free for members because you would have already paid.. just an idea

as for the nov 5th meet in montgomery.. I may be able to make it depending on what date my frined is coming back from Afganistan.. if its the week after like i'm thinking then I'll be able to make it..

the hell it is.. I just drove my happy ass from orlando, fl to charlotte, NC for a concert (the weenie roast if ur from charlotte).. drove there saturday afternoon.. all day concert sunday.. left the concert and came straight to work.. 11 hrs drive time each way because I actually went to douglasville, ga to meet with some friends and give them a ride.. 6 hrs is a daily thing for me

You drive alot If there is a big meet Ill ride with you since you like to drive[:)]

I tried to pick a central location and draw the borders based on that.. Montgomery, Columbia, and Orlando.. based on how long it takes for the person to get to one of those places is how I drew the lines.. If you dont mind goin the extra distance and would rather be in another chapter Thatd be ok too but I figgured border ppl could go to other chapter meets if they wanted

as for the site.. I'm sending cruz a PM now to get more info and try to get us moving forward on this.. from what I can tell its gonna take $25 up front and $10/mo after so if anyone can make a donation we will get something set up so you can do so and If we decide to do membership dues this WILL be counted towards that.. not saying we are but its possible
